I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a ÂŁ1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
